I Read…

CEO.XYZ: Daniel Negari is one of the most significant young internet leaders of our time. At just the age of 31, he already runs 9 internet registries managing millions of domain names. Considering he begun as a domain name investor and built his way up to owning an ICANN Accredited Registrar and then nine gTLD registries in just a few years, his success in the industry has been nothing short of remarkable.

The .SHOP Domain Blog: Not many updates here but I check these occasionally to see the latest updates from the .shop TLD team.

DomainIncite: I have been reading this blog for the past 5 years. I started following on the posts and learning about the developments in the industry through this website. I quit the industry and stopped reading it for a while but I am now clawing my way back to domain industry so this is definitely part of my reading list. Good not just for latest news but some sound analysis and background info that puts some context into the developments/policy pronouncements in the domain industry. And also for the occasional touch of humour!

Coreile Letter: This is the Chinese domain name market e-newsletter. China is currently the largest domain market for the new gTLDs and one of the largest markets for generic domain names worldwide so it is always interesting to follow up on some stats and perspectives from the Chinese domain community. In 2015, Chinese spent $1.68 billion on domain names and the country has 1 million domain name investors who are expected to drive the growth of the market in the coming years. It is also nice that this newsletter is delivered in English!

Kumagai.com: Masatoshi Kumagai is a Japanese internet leader and the founder of the GMO Internet Group, the e parent company of GMO Internet Group. The blog is in Japanese!

AbdulBasit.com: Domain name investor from Pakistan who is really good at what he does and doesn’t mind sharing it all.

Domaining.com: Sort of aggregates all the news and developments in the industry so that you can choose what you like. Good for variety of information and updates from all sectors.

Online Domain: Just recently discovered this blog. I like this because this is one of the mainstream domain blogs/bloggers that is not outright dismissive of the new TLDs program.

I will update my reading list as I expand my reading in the industry. I am still playing catch up đŸ™‚
